Diversity celebrated at annual Premier’s Multicultural Communications Awards
40 years on-air and a powerful anti-racism campaign are some of the winning entries at the 2023 Premier’s Multicultural Communications Awards (PMCAs) held last night. More than 130 entries were submitted for the awards, with winners and finalists decided across 12 categories including Best Audio-Visual Report, a Lifetime Achievement Award and Business and Community Campaigns of the Year.

Nominations open today for the 2024 Premier’s Multicultural Community Medals, honouring the unsung community heroes who work in the field of multiculturalism in NSW. Submissions are also open for the 2024 Multicultural Honour Roll, giving posthumous recognition for significant achievements by members of NSW’s vast and diverse society.

Providing tailored care to Antiochian Seniors
Aging members of Sydney’s Antiochian Orthodox faith community have welcomed the opening of a new nursing home thanks to a $8.5 million NSW Government investment. Minister for Multiculturalism Steve Kamper today opened the St Nicholas Senior Care Centre’s new 80-bed facility at Punchbowl in Sydney’s southwest.

More than $600,000 awarded to Multicultural Grassroots Festivals and Events
The NSW Government announced the 81 community organisations across NSW that were successful participants of the Multicultural NSW Stronger Together Festival and Event Grant program. These community organisations will share in more than $630,000 to host grassroots festivals and events over the next eight months.
