I’m very happy to welcome Simon Chan AM as the ongoing Chair of Multicultural NSW. Simon has been a valued member of the Advisory Board since 2018 and is one of its longest serving members.
Simon brings a wealth of knowledge, lived experience and leadership to the role. His depth of experience spans the arts, cultural, business and community sectors. I look forward to working closely with him to continue advancing social cohesion and harmony across our state. You can read Simon’s story below.
This month we celebrate all our wonderful translators and interpreters on International Translation Day on 30 September. It’s a great opportunity to recognise how much of a difference these professionals make – from enabling people to be heard in court, to translating vital public health messaging for multicultural audiences. Thank you to all the translators and interpreters who serve our vibrant, multilingual NSW community.
