Welcome to the July edition of Multicultural Link.
Welcome to the July edition of Multicultural Link.
As we close off on the 2022/23 financial year, I’m delighted to share some of our highlights. This year we:
• Provided $13.8M in grant funding to support 376 organisations
• Delivered the NSW Settlement Strategy
• Implemented the Regional Engagement Plan
• Completed over 50,000 translation and interpreting assignments in over 100 languages
• Provided funding for 68 students to complete the interpreting scholarship program.
In this issue, you’ll see that our work with communities continues, including supporting the Stand-Up Youth Conference and providing funding to support free courses in English, Aged Care and Disability Support for refugees.
Finally, thank you to more than 250 members of community across the state who attended the 14 Multicultural NSW Listening Tour sessions to help us understand your needs.
If you’d like to learn more about Multicultural NSW and the community work that we support, follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
