Eddie Jaku

Eddie Jaku OAM was born to a Jewish family in Leipzig, Germany in 1920. Most of his family died in Nazi concentration camps in World War II. Following the war, Eddie met and married his wife Flore of 75 years, and they emigrated to Australia to raise a family. Eddie served as a volunteer at the Sydney Jewish Museum from its inception in November 1992 until its closure due to COVID in March 2020. He continued to speak to groups of people all over the world online during the COVID lockdowns.
