It is a pleasure to join you at the 2026 Premier’s Harmony Dinner.

Tonight, we celebrate the people and organisations whose work shapes neighbourhoods, community centres, classrooms, sporting fields, and stages across New South Wales.

The work of this year’s Multicultural Community Medal winners and Honour Roll inductees spans years and often decades of commitment. They have supported new arrivals in New South Wales as they settle in, created spaces where people feel welcome, fostered young leaders, connected people with culture and language, and helped communities respond to crises.

In reviewing the achievements of our honourees, I am struck by how much of this work happens quietly, with humility. I am also reminded that progress requires persistence. These leaders confront challenges directly and continue to invest their time, skills, and energy in strengthening the communities they serve.

Tonight, we honour their contribution and thank them for the difference they make every day.
