Powerhouse
A museum of applied arts and sciences, Powerhouse is Australia’s largest museum group. It sits at the intersection of the arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues.
Powerhouse is currently building Powerhouse Parramatta, one of the most significant cultural projects being undertaken anywhere in the world. When it opens later this year, Powerhouse Parramatta will redefine contemporary museum practice and culture — community, industry and collection will intersect to create a dynamic culturally engaged program that will redefine museums, within one of Australia’s fastest growing and most diverse communities.
