A museum of applied arts and sciences, Powerhouse is Australia’s largest museum group. It sits at the intersection of the arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. Powerhouse is currently building Powerhouse Parramatta, one of the most significant cultural projects undertaken anywhere in the world. Powerhouse Parramatta will redefine contemporary museum practice and culture — community, industry, and collection will intersect to create a dynamic, culturally engaged program that will redefine museums within one of Australia’s fastest-growing and most diverse communities.
