Communities and Justice (DCJ)

DCJ: putting communities first

The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) aims to create safe, just, inclusive and resilient communities through its services across NSW.

DCJ’s work supports everyone’s right to access justice, helps families, and promotes early intervention and inclusion. We do this by working with children, adults, families, and communities to deliver services with a unified and collaborative approach.

Commitment to diversity

DCJ has an ongoing commitment to cultural diversity.

We are committed to building a workplace culture that values diversity and inclusion. We actively promote the employment of people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTIQ+ and other diversity groups, and are a Disability Confident Recruiter.

DCJ is using deliberate strategies that embrace cultural and linguistic diversity and actively seeks to harness cultural diversity by ensuring its workforce reflects the community we serve.
