Yvonne Weldon AM

Yvonne has 30+ years’ experience working in key government and Aboriginal organisations driving positive reform in health, education and child protection. Yvonne also served on the board of the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council for 13 years until her retirement last September.
She is Deputy Chair of the NSW Australia Day Council and a Board member of Domestic Violence NSW and the Aboriginal Women’s & Children’s Crisis Service. In 2022, Yvonne was Awarded the NSW Aboriginal Woman of the Year by the NSW Government and appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for her work with Aboriginal communities.
Yvonne’s proudest achievements are her grandchildren and her first published fictional novel, Sixty-Seven Days.
