Commonwealth Bank of Australia

At CommBank, we are committed to building a brighter future for all.

We have the privilege of serving 16 million Australian customers and providing employment to over 35,000 Australians.

Our workforce reflects the diversity of our customers and communities, which enables us to better understand and serve them. Mosaic is our cultural inclusion employee-led network. This network, established in 2014, recognises the important role that everyone’s cultural background plays in shaping lives at home, work and in the community.

We are fortunate that around one in two migrants to Australia trust us with their initial banking needs. By creating strong customer relationships and better understanding their needs, we provide engaging and relevant customer products, services and experiences that help them achieve their financial goals.

We’re focused on designing inclusive products, services and experiences that provide equitable access for all our customers and communities, so that we can be a trusted financial services provider at the centre of their financial lives.

Beyond banking services, CommBank actively supports communities and community organisations. This includes through our Next Chapter program, our bank wide commitment to help address domestic and family violence (DFV) and financial abuse in Australia. In 2023, we launched Next Chapter Innovation, our program to support not-for-profit organisation delivering innovative response to financial abuse recovery.

One of our inaugural Next Chapter Innovation partners was Afghan Women on the Move, who we supported to help address the nuanced challenges of DFV and financial abuse in multicultural communities. By addressing language hurdles, encouraging connection and fostering support, the project empowered victim-survivors on their path to healing and stability.
