Cricket Australia

Cricket Australia (CA) is the authoritative body for both professional and amateur cricket throughout Australia, headquartered in East Melbourne, Victoria. Established in 1905 as the ‘Australian Board of Control for International Cricket’, we operate as a not-for-profit organisation, holding foundational membership within the International Cricket Council.

Our mandate encompasses overseeing all Australian national cricket teams, spanning Men’s, Women’s, Youth, Indigenous, and Inclusion teams. Additionally, we manage the coordination and hosting of Test tours and One Day Internationals with other nations, alongside scheduling domestic and international fixtures. Collaboration with state and territory cricket associations underscores our commitment to fostering cricket’s growth and development within communities.

We believe that cricket is an inclusive sport with unparalleled capacity to unite people, both on and off the field. We honour our rich heritage while charting a bold course toward the future, driving innovation in digital experiences, junior participation, diversity, gender equality, sustainability, and the evolution of domestic cricket leagues.

In December 2023, CA launched its Multicultural Action Plan, recognising the imperative of inclusivity in a rapidly diversifying Australia. With the Southern Asian community comprising over six per cent of the population and deeply rooted in cricket culture, our commitment to representation and inclusion remains steadfast.

Central to our mission is recognising that people are the heart of cricket. Whether as players, officials, volunteers, or employees, we are dedicated to cultivating an environment that fosters talent and supports individuals in achieving their aspirations. As we chart our path forward, our aim is to ignite passion for cricket across all demographics, making it a sport for all that makes Australians proud.
