A message from the Chair and Chief Executive Officer

On behalf of Multicultural NSW, it is a great pleasure to host and welcome you to the largest multicultural dinner in the country and the 12th Premier’s Harmony Dinner.
The Harmony Dinner gives us the chance to come together each year to reflect on the enormous contributions made by our multicultural communities and celebrate our rich cultural diversity.
We congratulate the inspiring medallists and families of those honoured tonight through our Medals and the Honour Roll for their lasting legacy of service to our diverse state.
Tonight is an opportunity for all of us to reconnect with old friends and colleagues, to forge new friendships and strengthen the bonds across our communities in NSW built over many years and decades.
We acknowledge that the past year has been an incredibly challenging time for many of our colleagues, friends and members of our community. While we may live in an increasingly uncertain world, it is occasions like Harmony Week that bring us together. It allows us to not only showcase the very best of our multicultural society but also provides an opportunity for us to reflect on how we can keep the spotlight on what it truly means to be a successful multicultural state.
Strengthening community relations and social cohesion throughout NSW has never been more important. We can continue to set an example for the world.
It is occasions like these that remind us we can all make a difference each and every day to keep our communities safe, connected and stronger together.
Thank you for joining us tonight and we hope to cross paths and have a chat.
Stronger together,
Nick & Joseph
